Reading a CJC-1295 Product Title, Token by Token

Count the compounds the name claims. Then count the compounds the certificate resolves.

A product title in this set is not one thing, it is five. This page pulls a typical title apart into its parts and marks each one as either a claim a document can settle or a mark that only looks like one. It never reproduces a recorded title, because several of them carry tokens this site does not publish.

A title has five parts

Every product title in the recorded set is built from the same five parts, in some order. Two of the five are claims a document can confirm or contradict. Three are marks that carry no specification at all, even when they look decisive. Knowing which is which is the whole skill. The reading came from the twelve results this reading came from.

Part one, the compound names

The names are the load-bearing part. In this set the title names two compounds, and each name is a claim that a certificate can either resolve or fail to resolve. Two names is a promise of two identities. A document either matches both or it does not.

Checkable against a document

Part two, the status token

The status token, written as DAC or no DAC, is present in five of the ten product titles and absent in five. Whether it is there is checkable in a second. What it means is not something this site will define, because it has no source it is willing to cite for one. Present or absent this site will report. The definition it sends you to the seller and the certificate for, at the status token, on its own.

Presence checkable, meaning not sourced here

Part three, the connector

A connector is not a specification. Across the set a plus sign, an ampersand, a slash, a comma and a bare space all sit between the same two names. Five different marks, one product shape. Not one of them tells a reader what is in the vial, and a reader who reads meaning into the punctuation is reading a typesetting choice as a fact.

Decoration, resolves nothing

Part four, the form word

The form word is blend, or peptide, or nothing at all. The word blend announces arithmetic that the title then declines to show: it says a pair is present without saying, in any checkable way, what the pair is. It is a signpost, not a measurement, and it points at the certificate whether it means to or not.

Signpost, not a measurement

Part five, the order

The order is which name comes first. In the recorded set at least one listing reversed it and named the second compound first. Order changes how a title reads and changes nothing a document has to prove. Two names in either sequence are still two identities for a certificate to resolve. To see how a two-name title stacks up as a claim, read what a two-name title claims.

Decoration for identity, resolves nothing

So what does the title mean

As a piece of copy, the title means a pair is on offer and one status has been either declared or skipped. As a specification, it means less than it looks like it means. Two of its five parts are checkable and three are not, and the parts that decide what is in the vial are not in the title at all.

The title is where the claim is made. The certificate is where the claim is settled. Everything decorative drops away the moment a document is on the table, which is the entire reason this site reads a title as a starting point and never as an answer.
